Sometimes won't grab edge of can

It's nice and easy to hold, however, I've had multiple occasions where it seems to come out of the groove and I'll have to readjust multiple times.

Cheaply made

Opener came with one of the handles detached. I had to super glue the handle twice. Would not buy again.

Tight to Squeeze and Hold on a Can

Much tighter than my old Farberware opener. Not as easy to use. Perhaps it'll loosen up with use.

Looks nice; does not work!

So, I bought this in 2021. Most cans these days have pull-off tops. For the first time since I bought this I had to use it to open a can of baked beans. First, there are no instructions on the cardboard it’s fastened to on how to use this it. I tried every conceivable way from my prior knowledge of using a manual can opener. After butchering the can I finally retrieved the old electric can opener from the basement and opened the can. This thing is a useless piece of junk. I can’t return it, since it is 2 years old even though it was brand new tonight. Don’t waste your money, and I guess don’t buy any canned goods that don’t have a pull-off top. I gave it 2 stars because it looks nice, but it would be 0 stars for functionality. Of course it’s made in China. Oh, how I wish I kept my mother’s old reliable can opener from the 50’s, made in the USA and actually worked for 50+ years.
