Not chrome as described

“Avalanche chrome hitch cover” is NOT chrome at all.. it is matte black background. It is still nice, but I do not like being told it’s one thing and being sent something very different.. if you are looking for a black background hitch cover, this is a nice one to buy. If you want chrome, don’t buy this one. As far as durability, I’ve only had it a couple weeks, so I don’t know yet. I purchased a separate locking pin to keep ‘sticky fingers’ off of it..

Makes all the other brands look cheap and temporary

This is a surprisingly well-made product, good welds and chromed inside and out. It enhances the quality look of my SUV, instead of looking like a tacky trinket. I like the curved cover plate edges so you don't catch or bang your knee on any sharp edges, when going in the back of your vehicle. Fairly heavy gauge steel used. The logo is highly detailed and refined. Very nice for the price! Suggest also getting a locking pin as I can see certain "persons" finding it very tempting to "borrow", on a non-returnable basis!

Color in lettering comes off

I have had this cover for only 3 months, and the orange color has already come off of the oil drop, and some of the blue in the oilers letters has started coming off already as well. should be able to stand weather conditions...
