this product would be fine. I had intended to use it for a ...

I obviously did not read the description well enough as the "bronze" column I received was a cheap resin/plastic bronze colored replica. I suppose for a one day event or wedding function, this product would be fine. I had intended to use it for a fine vase but given it cheap look and its inability to realistically hold any weight over five to ten pounds, it was of no use for me. I would highly recommend reading the entire description before purchasing and make sure it will actually fulfill your needs.

Don't let first impression guide your opinion

I believe many reviewers gave this low marks based on first impression. My first reaction was the same. But when I tried it out and re-read the product information on the Amazon description I changed my mind. It is extremely light weight - but the information on Amazon tells you to fill the pedestal with sand or gravel. There is a pop on disc to open the pedestal to add the sand/gravel. I used sand, put it in about a third of the way up and it did the trick - now it has heft and feels solid. The seams of the resin do look noticeable and messy - but where I needed to use it, the seams are not visible and just blend into the overall look. Turns out it was just what I needed and it looks great.

Too lightweight

While I understand that this column was supposed to be lighter than one made of another material, this turned out to be so flimsy that one would not even be able to keep a small plant on it...very disappointed in this product.

Perfect as a plant stand which is what we wanted it for - very sturdy and a good color. Easy to move around being so light weight.

Not made of resin. It is hollow plastic. Do not buy this. Not worth the price. It's probably worth 10 dollars at the most. They stole my money. It is a scam!!

Don't purchase!

This product is a piece of plastic garbage. For that price, manufacturer's should be ashamed of themselves. Plus, the color that they advertised was not even close.

Useing it as a plant stand in a piano room, looks amazing
