self-destructing faucet

i purchased this because i loved the design; i had purchased two other faucets from another big box store which were manufactured by kingston brass: both were defective and had to be replaced and returned. wanting to avoid that brand, i chose this faucet based on the design and the fact that it was manufactured by a company called 'elements of design.' when the faucet was delivered i was extremely disappointed and concerned, as it said on the box that it was made by KINGSTON BRASS(!) being desperate, and against my better judgment, i had the faucet installed. i mean, what were the odds that 3 out of 3 faucets from this company would prove over time to be defective? right?? all was well for around 10 weeks; then the same pattern i had experienced with the other faucets was repeated: just a little drip from the hot water side, which increased to a little stream, and finally, with the tap being wide open even when the handle is turned 'off'. this progression happens rapidly, within hours, once the little drip begins. i have to turn the water supply off and on when i want to have hot water, and even then the cold water drips a bit. this company has great designs for a vintage kitchen with a more modern / rustic, farmhouse appeal, but the quality is sub standard. unfortunately, the time for returning this has long past so i am out of luck, and wasted almost $200. extreeeeeemly disappointed.
