Doesn’t fit right, but still turns on washing machine

This was the part recommended by manufacturer to replace a cracked washing machine knob, the start knob. It doesn’t fit all the way onto the metal dowel, only halfway, I checked the part # several times. The dowel is what protrudes from the front of the washer, you have to turn it to start the machine but you can’t grip and turn it by hand. You need the knob over it. The knob does work even with this bad fit, but I don’t know how long it will last while it’s only halfway on. This is my only option, so far so good, or I use a pliers to turn that metal piece every time I do laundry.

Fits but not flush to dryer

I did not give a 5 because it was guaranteed to fit my dryer according to make and model but it will work but does not fit flush against the dryer

I had the same experience as the previous reviewer. It is the same size, shape, and color as the original (well almost the same color but mine are all faded). It works, but does not slide all the way onto the control stem so it sticks up quite a bit.

Need to describe the hole size precisely. If the knob doesn’t fit in the place what’s the use even if the whole knob size looks good?
