Beautifully executed

This line of models is simply great. The attention to detail is high and for the aviation buff, young or old, these models are a handful of history. If, as I do, you purchase these for a youngster, I suggest creating a history to go with it. The LA-7 has an interesting history that is usually overshadowed by its more famous predecessor, the LA-5. These are intended to be display models, not toys. Fat chance of that once given to young boy. Expect the landing gear, which is fixed in the down position to go first with a high probability of the propeller blades following soon after. Personally I think that the landing gear simply be omitted so that the models could be played with more aggressively. On the whole, these are beautifully done models and are helpful for teaching a child about aviation and aerial combat. And for their short lives, they're great toys. Jerry
