UPdate: I have to stand up and down multiple times during the day (I work from home) due to my back problem and this desk was a perfect solution. It's been a month since I start using this as my computer desk. I am using this table up/down at least 10x + day (much often than people who buys this kind of table) with 30 lbs equipment on the top and it is still working well. It's easy to move it up and down as I needed. Very solid construction. I have very bad back problem and I have to stand up from the chair often while I am working. But, sitting down and standing up constantly every hour or so working on PC that are stationed on the regular desk isn't the best situation. While standing up, my back feels better, but looking down on monitor and type while standing up position quickly lead my carpal to flare up and start to have neck pain. One push button ergo-desk would have been the best choice, but cost of those types of desk is over $1000.00 at the cheapest. So, I had to come up with something that would work for my situation without paying too much money. While I was searching for a desk that can easily move up and down I found this table. I look over the description and the size of this table would work for my 'All in one PC" . High rating of the review also help me to purchase this table. But, I wasn't sure if it would really work for my situation. The below, I list my review on this table. 1) It's surprisingly well made desk for the price: I honestly didn't expect it to be study enough to hold my PC and still able to move up/down easily whenever I need to stand up. 2) The powder coded heavy gauge gun metal base looks very attractive too. 3) Very affordable: Cost under $50.00 is big plus. I would have paid more even if I saw this at the store. 4) Putting it together: It's very easy and almost doesn't need to read the instruction, But, I suggest you read the instruction first before start to put it together. There is a screw that you SHOULD NOT remove and it marked clearly with removable label. Also, it indicated on the instruction for this. So, it's good idea to skim through the instruction how to put together. 5) Moving up/down: It's very easy. It springs up very easily and push down with one hand while the other hand control the lever on the side. It wouldn't be an issue if you are using this table as intended. However, if you are using it like I am, as regular desk for All in one PC (heavy - over 25 lbs), You will need a little more effort to pulling the desk up since what is on the top of the table will be heavier than just food tray or laptop. While holding the lever, other hand should help along to bring the table up. Then, release the lever to lock the table's heights BEFORE both hands off from the table. You have to support the weight until height of the table locks. 6) Surface area: This table top size is approx 15" x 30", so it would accommodate large laptop or food tray. 7) Table top is made out of pressed board - MDF- and it's about 1" thick cover with some types of plastic material to wipe the table without damaging the base material. If you are using it as intended for the item (food tray/laptop/books), it wouldn't be an issue. Perfect as is. For me, using this table as mobile work station to hold my All in Once PC, which is much heavier and larger than the laptop, I wanted a little more heavy duty wood that can support my PC. So, I didn't use the tabletop that came with the kit. Instead, I cut plywood (same thickness/size as original piece) and attach it to the table. I also drill the 2" hole on the table for the wires/cords, so all electrical cords can be tucked under the table neatly and I gather it all tied to the metal stand. 8) Wheels: It has 2 locking wheels and 2 regular wheels, but it doesn't stand balanced on carpet. So, I put wheel cup under each wheels and now it doesn't move and table stands firmly on the floor. It's works perfectly for me. If this table would last only a year, I would still buy same table again and use it same way describe above. For the price, you can't go wrong. But, I think this table would last long time. And now, I can get up when my back is hurting by sitting on the chair too long, I just pull up the table all the way and working standing up. When my back feels better, I simply bring the table to my desk level and working sitting down. It's that easy!
