Half of kit ( under dash) does not fit 2006 Honda Element

DOES NOT FIT 2006 Honda Element Front ( under dash) 10 prong male is significantly larger than 2006 Honda Element grey 10 prong female ( see pictures) Unable to get contact from 10 prong connector. ————————————- BACK Piece ( rear connector) DOES FIT perfectly. Still giving four stars because if this were the right part it would’ve installed in minutes. So bummed that it doesn’t fit but Amazon said that it would. The box, however, says 2007-2010 model. Question for the manufacture- can the front part be hardwired in? If so I’d be interested in trying again (with directions of course) Thanks.

Works great - do not try to hook up to the green connector

When I first tried to install the wiring under the dashboard, the connectors did not match. I found I was trying to hook up to the wrong plug. DO NOT hook up to the green plug. You have to hook up to a gray plug tucked higher up under the dash board

This part fit perfectly! It came either with dummy fuses installed or an extra set. I needed to install the fresh fuses for it to work properly. You should look up the factory hitch install instructions, they show how to route the harness out of the trunk, permanently. Since I didn't have a new grommet, I cut the existing one so the harness would fit. Then I glued the grommet in place with 3M weather strip adhesive. I had some extra zip ties to attach the harness to the hitch. So far everything works great. I bought some extra 5 amp fuses just in case and haven't needed them yet!

2007 Honda Element tow harness

Took less than 10 minutes to install. Hardest part is laying on your back to look up under the dash for the gray plug.

Perfect for my 2011 Honda Element

Perfect for my Honda Element 2011, so easy to install it took two minutes to put the module under the driver dash, all the way to the left was a plug just waiting for it. So easy, I was doubting myself, but it was perfect. The mount to go into the spare tire area surprised me also, because I didn't ever see that plug hanging out under the tire, just waiting for me to plug it in. PERFECT! I took another reviewer's advice and was very careful when leading the wire out of the back hatch, to avoid the locks and be sure to place it on the soft rubber gasket. Wow, the best and sooooo inexpensive, unless you like giving Honda your dollars for the same exact unit.

Super easy install

Literally installed in 10 minutes or less. I'm no mechanic, but it was so easy to install. I did watch a short YouTube video on how to install it on my car first, which made it even easier. Just clicked in to place and used a couple zip ties to keep it neatly tucked under the dash.

This will ensure a proper hook up

Was exactly what I needed to hook up a trailer to my Honda Element. Was a little tricky to get it up underneath the dash and I had to have a friend smaller than I do it, but it works and I'm very pleased.

Easy install

The hitch fit like a glove. It probably took 30 minutes to install in my 2011 Honda element. The directions states it fits up to a 2008, but it fit perfectly. I did not have to make an cut or adjustments to the bumper.
