Great flashlight

I needed a good flashlight to use when I take my new puppy out at night to do her business. This flashlight is awesome. Gives a substantial amount of light to see my puppy.

Very bright and breakproof

Light is great and the rubber covering over all of it except front makes it probably shatterproof. No problems after about 2 months of frequent use.

Really Like the Grip

I really like the rubber all over the flashlight. It allows me to keep a grip on it in the rain and snow. Its also not freezing cold to hang onto. The metal flashlights are great, but when its cold outside and raining, I don't need to add freezing my fingers to the list.

Very goood flashlight

I had one of those on a sailboat. It did outlast 2 other supposedly "marine" flashlights. I decided to buy more of them but could not locate them on the Dorcy's website. Anyway Amazon had them so I ordered 2 more. Some people complained about the size (too big). I guess that this is subjective (what is a big flashlight?) and based on the intended application. This one is not good for a small pocket but I have a so-called small tactical flashlight as well and I find it too small for boating applications. From an electrical design point of view, the nice thing is that there is no electrical contact coming back from the end cap. This is generally where a lot of problems occur (need to unscrew/screw the cap to get good electrical contact). This light never flickers. I like the rubber grip. The only negative: they are available in 3 colors but you can't pick yours when ordering.

Excellent light, well made, but a little big!

80 lumens is good. It can reach a long distance, very focussed light beam and really handy. Looks very well manufactured and looks like (and they claim) it is waterproof but I haven't tested it for that! It looks like there is only one mode - focussed beam and nothing else. I assumed it will be smaller than what it actually is - it is big! So if you are looking for a compact one that goes in to a packet/purse, this is not the one for you. Overall, it is a great flashlight, handy, performs well. Update: 2/23/2014: It still works great after 3+ years. One gripe I have is the non-slip grip rubber - while it is non-slip all right, seems to be a little bit sticky, so it picks up a lot of dust/grime. Other than that I like it.

Good value

A bit heavy but very sturdy. Rubber casing makes it less likely to roll around.
