Amazing quality

The quality of this piece exceeds my expectations! This is very heavy duty, solid cast iron. It is just a tiny slight bit smaller than what I expected, but definitely worth the price for the quality, so I really can't complain.

It really is cast iorn!

My family loves cast iron pans and so this was an exciting find for Mother's Day! Very beautiful and well crafted. It is a little smaller than I thought it would be (especially since it came in a box 4 feet tall), but it is perfect. Since my family lacks a green thumb we are planning on using it to hold keys and other small items. Currently we are trying to figure out how to bolt it to the wall lol.

Disappointing size

Heavy (just over 15 lbs), well thought out. Classic look. Needs better finishing.

This is solid cast iron and feels like it. The piece is obviously assembled from several parts. The back, face and clamshell are screwed on, while the lip on the clamshell is welded in place - but it's a pretty uneven and sloppy weld. There are several gaps between the lip and base where dirt will wash out or plants may poke out of. I'm going to fill the gaps with roofing sealant. Because it is so heavy you'll need to mount this to something solid. Our plan is to use it for flowers. Some Blue lobelia trailing over the lip, some creeping thyme and Zinnia would look nice. One of the edges on the back was not trimmed correctly and has some rough/sharp edges. I'm filing these down. Overall it's a great piece. Photos: opening in bottom for drainage, face, top view of clamshell, gaps between clamshell and lip (two angles) and the back. That's my arm if you need an idea of scale.

Well made, good looking. Needs secure installation as it weighs a lot.

This wall sculpture is heavy as it's made from a distressed and painted cast iron. The Green Man face is done very well and there is a shallow vessel to fill with your own plants or whatever. It will require secure mounting but if you let it sit out in the elements it will develop a patina of its own.

It arrived broken

We looked forward to hanging this sculpture in our garden. It is beautiful. It would have added class, But the part that should hold the plants was broken off of the main body, making it impossible to use. If a replacement is sent, I will revise this review.
