Yeah, it's too much money for what you get

....but overpriced plastic is the Toscano brand. Is it great overpriced plastic? Absolutely. It was luxury gift that the recipient would not buy for themselves, but richly enjoyed getting.

Colorful and attractive

Very pretty. It’s only 12 inches tall so it seems expensive for the size. But it is colorful when in the sunlight. (Still waiting for my peacock feathers to be delivered to finish it off).

Not as depicted

Definitely not as impressive as the photo. It is not at all colorful, unless there is significant back-light. I suspect that a light was placed inside the vase to get the photo that is depicted. Glass would have been better, and if it isn't filled with long peacock feathers (or whatever), the vase appears shorter what I expected. Certainly not worth $100.

Though nice enough, you think it will be glass and it’s plastic, and no where near as bright as the photo leads you to believe. While I put feAthers in it I had to put green foam in bottom to hold in place. I would not pay this much again.

Unique and beautiful

Very pretty! Bought as a wedding gift along with some peacock feathers. Can not wait to gift it! Ordering another for myself.

Bits & Pieces

Arrived broken. Looking in the package it was packed well enough that I don’t think the damage (broken in two) could have been done in the shipping. It seemed as though it was packed broken or sent back by someone else, put on a shelf and then send back out without checking. Resin is a relatively durable material. Which lead me to the last complaint. I really thin the piece should be made of glass although that would be more fragile, resin just doesn’t have the luster, reflection & elegance of glass

Disappointing Plumage vase

I have liked every other Design Toscano piece that I have received, and I so wanted to like this one too. In the photo it looks so gorgeous, but I'm afraid I was disappointed with it. It comes double boxed, and held in polystyrene, so it's very safely packed. It's also really light. I looks like it should be weighty, but it isn't, and that results in it appearing cheap. It's not nearly as prettily coloured as in the photo, the peacock bodies are very dark and not shiny, the actual vase/plumage part is disappointingly made of plastic or resin. I really wished it had been glass. I think it would look better with actual peacock feathers displayed in it, as in the photos. I really don't like to say this, but it reminds me of something that should be in a Victorian funeral parlour, or even on a grave in a gothic style graveyard! I think it is really, really expensive for what it is.

Doesnt look like glass but pretty design means even looks good without flowers in it.

This is obviously not glass as neither has the shine nor transparency of glass nor the depth of colour. In particular the feather colour blue on the vase bowl is very faded and I have some photos for you to see of the vase to judge for yourself. It is pretty however, but the price is too high for a non glass. I however like the fact when you have no flowers or thingsto go in it the vase still looks good on its own.

A disappointment

This is not as eye-catching as the pictures suggest, perhaps because it's resin not glass. The best I can say is that it was very well packaged. I'm sorry to say it doesn't come up to the quality that the price would suggest. The peacock feathers in the photo (which is noted are not included) flatter it. I'm not inclined to give it house-room.
