Finally

I like this product. Really defines and moisurizes my curls. I can go 3 days without reapplying. My curls snap back in the morning with spraying a little water on them. It isn't greasy, so with my long hair, I can sit back on the couch without making a greasy mess.

Great Definition!

This product is great! I used it on my type 4B hair to do a wash and go. After washing and deep conditioning, I applied the design essentials daily moisturizing lotion which the product tells you to do. I then applied the product to my hair in sections. I did have to finger separate some of my coils to aid the defining process. After completing my whole head as the product tells you to do I sat under a hooded dryer for about 40 to 45 minutes to set the style. I am on day three and my hair is still retaining its moisture and the definition is still there. I am very pleased with the results of this product and I highly recommend giving it a try! I will definitely be purchasing this product again!

A must buy product

Great product! It works wonders on thick coarse hair, makes it very easy to comb through. Also, a great smell and that don’t leave your hands greedy. I will buy this again, I only use design essential products on me and my daughter’s hair. ????

I use it on dreadlocks

I am Caucasian and use it on my dreadlocks (male), it does not hold for twists, it's too slippery, but it does smell amazing. I use it for the smell, it could be confused with an amazing smelling almond-cookie candle. It is very slick and if not used sparingly will leave white residue in your hair (especially locks), but it washes out nicely with the right shampoo. If you're looking for locking gel, this is not it, but if you want something to add softness, and a delightful smell, it will do that.

Not EXACTLY what I ordered but it works

So the product on the left is the item I THOUGHT I purchased and the one on the right is what I received from this vendor. Obviously the labeling is different and the color of the product is lighter. Even though the formula seems different in color it still smells really good and actually did a good job with my hair. Just as good as the original. I fear that original one I purchased from a local beauty supply store may be discontinued because I can’t seem to find it anywhere, not even the DE website. The option that I purchased seems to be a suitable replacement because so far no other brand works this well on my hair. It’s heavy enough to penetrate my hair which is what I need. I would probably purchase this again if I needed to.

Love it!

I wouldn’t say it’s a great moisturizer, I used their lotion for that! But if you use to style your hair it’s great for that! It’s crazy it is like a very light weight gel it holds my 3 year old hair in place and mine when I do 2 French braids around the house. I love it!
