A must-have in my classroom

Excellent Quality by Didax! Fun learning!

I received the item Exactly as it is shown and described! It arrived fast. The box is in perfect condition and All the contents are brand new as shown. This was an Amazing price! Excellent quality! The Ten Frame Spinner itself is the Best quality of any spinner I’ve ever bought! I laugh at that statement because it’s a spinner for kids math, but it’s made of sturdy plastic w a rim so the spinner actually spins! The trains are a clear cobalt blue and fit the Unifix Cubes we have at home as well as the 20 I received in the box. They are real Unifix Cubes orange and green. I have 20 in the box. I also received The Ten Frame Train guide book is really nice too! The Didax brand is top quality and you can find videos online that’ll give you ideas to play n Learn :) It’s exactly what I hoped for, it’s exactly what I purchased. I only say that because I see the other photos and it looks like some people did not receive the real Ten Frame Train by Didax. I’ve included photos to show you I truly received the real version. **Nobody paid me to give this review** :) I paid full price for this item and I’m beyond happy. I feel relieved I got the package exactly as it is shown and it was worth the money! Thank you!!

The Value of the Ten Frame for Beginning Math Students

I give this item a five star review because it is the only item sold of its kind, and its value to children's mathematical understanding is priceless. Every child should now be introduced to the concepts of addition and subtraction ( as well as the related concepts of regrouping) with the ten frame. Multiplication as a variation of addition (e.g. The Montessori system) becomes instantly understood. Every teacher or parent who wishes to introduce a child to number concepts will do well to invest in a box of 100 Didax cubes and a set of these ten frames.

CONFUSED! I have actually ordered this item on two separate occasions and received different items in different packaging. The first time I wanted to try these trains out and ordered one item, DIDAX DD-22200 sold by BLINQ for $9.49. I received the box, as pictured, with 10 trains, 20 cubes and a spinner. My students enjoyed these and I felt the product helped students understand place value. So, I wanted to order several sets for my grade level. Well here comes the problem. I selected “Buy It Again” from my Amazon account to get more; I wanted 3 more boxes. The link took me to a different product name, TEN FRAME TRAINS sold by Wizards of Math, but with the identical picture for $15.49. So I thought I was getting the same thing. This was not the case. This time I received bags with 2 trains and 20 cubes, NOT AT ALL THE SAME ITEM! Not worth the $15.49 that I paid Needless to say I was shocked and very disappointed and immediately returned them. I would reorder, but I cannot be sure that I will get the correct item.

Perfect for train-obsessed students

As a math tutor to an autistic first-grader who is obsessed with trains, this was the perfect way to teach him! He plays with the trains while we do math problems. It has made our hour-long sessions pass by much more quickly, and he's remembering his facts much more readily. (Side note: we have not used any of the suggested games and activities.)

Very cheaply done, but... so what?

This is exactly what it looks like. Despite the description, mine did come with cubes -- 20 of them. The cars are small, simplistic, and lightweight, and I wish the set were a good bit cheaper to reflect that... however. It serves the purpose perfectly well, and I am not expecting the train cars to actually break; they just don't have a nice heft to them. These really help kids visualize tens and adding or subtracting two-digit numbers.

Great for kindergartners!

My kindergartners love these as a station activity. It has really helped them learn how to make teen numbers and beyond. I usually have them build a number (given orally or on a card) and work with a buddy of similar ability to count 1:1 and build. Great manipulative...consider buying 2 so you have enough to work with higher numbers.

Me encanta este producto, se pueden hacer muchas actividades con el y a los niños les gusta mucho, sin embargo no le doy cinco estrellas porque es de plástico duro y no creo que soporte caídas y la ruleta es muy endeble ya se me ha desmontado una vez.
