Overall, a good hanger BUT.....

First off, kudos to Amazon for their speedy delivery - I ordered on Saturday, expected it on Tuesday, and it arrived Monday morning. That was wonderful because we are in the process of reorganizing things so it was great to check the ironing board location off my list. This is a nice hanger which has plenty of room for standard-thickness doors and it's solid built so no problems holding the board weight. It has two screw holes on top to make a permanent mount if you'd like, but you the buyer, need to provide the screws. Not a big deal in my book but it's good to know. The one thing I really wish it had was felt or rubber pads on the metal parts that meet the door - on top where it hangs over the door as well as the back of the vertical bars. There are rubber covers over the curved tips of the hanger and that will protect your ironing board I guess, but the door needs it more. Like others have said, every time the door is opened, if your board is hanging with the legs facing the door, the ironing board knocks against the door. Over time, opening and closing the door with the board always banging it will wear the paint on the door. I found like others also mentioned, that hanging the board with the legs facing out solves the knocking issue but it also causes the board (at least mine) to hang a little further away from the door. I have mine hanging behind our laundry room door (which always stays open) so it's out of sight and I now have free wall space where my ironing board was hanging before. That's a great thing! I just have to be careful not to hit the wall every time I rehang my board and leave the room. All in all, it's a good hanger, but if I found one with the missing features, I would have purchased it over this one.

Good quality but door won’t close

The quality seems really good. It seems pretty sturdy and holds my ironing board well. I like that I can open my door all the way and the board doesn’t hit the wall. My holder came missing one of the rubber covers that go over the ends but I don’t think they’re necessary anyway. I only marked it down because I cannot close my laundry room door all the way which is inconvenient because I like to close it to block the noise.

Flip it the correct way!

A few reviewers were like me and clipped the round end that holds the ironing board on the door, then complained that the door won’t close. Look at the illustrations in the sellers photos and mount on the door properly. Great item.

Big ironing boards NEED this!

If you've treated yourself to one of those extra big ironing boards (you know the ones I mean) and have since found that normal overdoor ironing board holders leave it dragging on the floor, this is what you've been searching for. Because this doesn't leave space for an iron like all the others I tried, this one hangs the ironing board higher up the door than the others, therefore keeping it well away from the floor. This item is very well made from strong metal and easily supports the weight of the heaviest board available (I'm talking about the D, btw). The hooks are large enough to easily hold the larger legs of your board, but are also rubber cushioned at the tips so they don't damage them. All in all I'm delighted with this, it's perfect for my needs.

Durable and great value for money.

Really great value for money,no holes needed fits over door perfect and takes a large minky ironing board, its a bit wobbly but very secure,and has given me more room, love this product.

Need to order another one I love it so much!

I was going to use it to hang my ironing board but decided that my step ladder needed it more. I wanted to order another one immediately but realized it's an add on item :( haha..I'll just wait till I need to order something else. It's perfect and makes my life so much easier not to pull this step ladder outta the closet behind a million boxes.

does the job

I was looking for something strong to hang my ironing board on the inside of my utility room door. Does the job perfectly with no chance of it falling. It does slide around so be careful if it’s a door you open and close regularly. My door is an inner door that never gets closed.
