Cheap screws

Very nice handle. Installed for my elderly mother in the bathroom, only the first screw sheared off under the head only 1/2 inch into the wood. Tossed those and got good quality screws instead.

Bar is nice but screws provided are garbage.

The bar looks great but the cheap screws provided are garbage. I stripped several of them trying to install it until I gave up and bought replacement screws at the hardware store.

A good stylish non juting out bath bar. Not good for towels but would be good in a close quarter shower stall. Its sturdy stainless steel not like the standard "rainbow" grab bar.

Quality product

I've installed three of these grab bars and they work well and are very sturdy. The brush from finish holds up very well. Makes a bathtub and or a shower much safer.

Great substitute for a flimsy towel bar

Bought this to replace a typical, rather flimsy towel bar. My wife had lost her balance, grabbed for the towel that was hanging on the towel bar, and the rod came right out of the mounts. I used this to replace that. The ends fit right over the where the ends of the previous bar had been, although the screw holes are placed differently. I used heavy duty dry-wall toggle anchors, and now this thing is mounted rock-solid to the wall. Plus the design looks a lot better than a typical rounded-ends grab bar, and blends very well with the other towel bars.

Better than Expected

I am a remodeling Pro. This bar is rather sturdy and has good fit and finish. The main thing I was happy about was the intelligent use of a hole pattern that allows maximum flexibility when installing where the stud spacing is not a perfect 16".

No problems

The bar is nice looking and a reasonable size. I had read about some bars being scratched by the mounting rings before or during installation when the rings were free to slide around. So I put tape around the inner edges of the mounting bar to prevent this from happening. I don't know if it was necessary or not, but it was cheap insurance. I had my bar professionally installed because the tile over our tub was a custom purchase and I wanted to have the best chance of not damaging it. I don't know whether I could have successfully installed it or not, but I was very glad I hadn't tried because the noise and shaking caused by the drill bit sounded totally off the chart. I couldn't bear to listen to the racket and I surely would have given up and trying to install it myself. In the end it was put in very securely and we are happy with it.

elegant, exquisite, sturdy!

We couldn't believe how much this grab bar adds to our bathroom decor. Looks like a decorative towel rack but it is a sturdy safety/grab bar. We're seniors, so safety is paramount. This is well built, flawless, with 5 sturdy screws on each side to securely attach to wall.
