Best seat so far

Better than the Toto and Mayfair seats I tried before this. Easy to install, looks great, and closes nice and softly. It also works perfectly with our bidet.

Excellent quality

I have replaced all my toilet lids with this Delta soft close one. It stays in place and very quiet. Great sturdy quality and unbeatable price. No regrets.

Bottom Seat Closes Automatically - Not Great for Boys

The media could not be loaded. Slow close is great in theory, but I don't think guys will appreciate having to hold the seat up to pee. The seat part starts closing on it's own as soon as it's reaches the tank, so it won't stay open long enough for someone to stand and pee. I also wish the lid closed a bit faster, but still quietly. I get impatient waiting for the lid to close before flushing.

Well made toilet seat

It fit perfectly sturdy construction and did not take long to install. Soft close is great no more slamming toilet seats.

Replaced a Kohler that split at a seam.

Both this and the Kohler have their pluses and minuses. Kohlers bumper were sticky and useless after two years and Deltas are much, much better. Installation of the Kohler was better due to their metal bolts and excellent plastic wing nuts. I through away the Deltas and reused the Kohlers. Delta’s soft close cylinder is about half the size of Kohler’s. The seat drops and soft closes faster on the Delta but I’m betting the Kohler on my other toilet, that’s a couple years old already, will outlast the Delta. The Delta seat puts you farther forward on the toilet itself which has eliminated streaking on the back of the basin, a surprising plus for our family. The top of the Delta seat flexes when you sit on it but the Kohler is solid. Both get a solid four stars but each could use some design improvements.

I'll never own a toilet without one of these again. No more slamming of lids when a kid is napping or a spouse is on a call... Or heck, if you're multitasking on hold and you're finishing up on the can yourself (not that I condone that, but desperate times and all). This will be one of the best and easiest home improvement projects you do.

A step up from the basic.

We just had the cheap basic seats before and these are a definite improvement. Doesn't slide around while sitting on it and more comfortable.
