Batman Car

This was a gift for my 4 year old grandson. He LOVED it. When I took it out of the box I thought, this doesnt look like the batmobile! My son told me I needed to get with the times. The car has changed since he was a little boy.

Great fun outdoors - takes a lot of batteries

1. This thing is legit. It IS the batmobile - whoa. It looks just like what is in the cartoons and the batman sits in it - is really cool. 2. Takes 6 batteries- that's a big commitment for us. The only reason I could think of to take a star off. 3. Fun for adults - my husband and I love it but my 4 yo has a hard time driving it so he likes to watch us drive it. 4. Can take some hits- we have had some accidents and it has a few cosmetic issues but doesn't have any structural issues. Pretty cool. 5. Great gift for kids (6+ seems right ) and adults!!

DC Comics Batman Batmobile remote control car

The Batmobile remote control car is a good gift for a child that is a little older. I got it for my grandson who is 6 and he was easily frustrated with trying to operate it. The speed control does not gradually go from slow to fast when you push the joystick. It goes right to the fast speed as soon as you move the joystick just a little. This made it difficult for him to operate the car in tighter spaces indoors. The steering is very responsive and works well. It has a good feel, and I was able to maneuver it through a course we set up. I was better at steering it than controlling the speed. It was a little better when we took it outside on the street where he had more room to maneuver the car. I tried it and it took me a few minutes to get used to the controller. I was still unable to drive the car at a slower speed. I did get better at steering the car, but I had to frequently move the speed control to the neutral position to slow it down as I tried to drive it through a course that I set up. I think it would be better suited for someone who is a little older than 6. It seems to be well made and sturdy. My grandson did enjoy playing with the action figure that came with the car. For the price the car is built sturdier than I expected. It has already survived a few drops from my 2 year old granddaughter who got her hands on it. If it were not for the speed control, I would have rated this 5 stars. It looks just like what you see in the comics and cartoons. I rate the styling 5 stars. I would also rate the construction 5 stars because of the sturdiness of the car and the remote. I think it is fun to drive. You just need to practice with it before you can control it to go where you want it to go.

"Holy Contributing to the Delinquency of Minors!" Manage your expectations. This DC Comics, Batman Batmobile Remote Control Car, is designed for kids. The controller is perfect for a child's hands. Not really adult sized. If you are looking for a remote control car with fine control, you won't find it here Columbus. Having said that, like all RC cars, it's fun - for a little while. Until the batteries run low. Until you realize that the little car does not go as fast as you imagined. Until you realize that fine control of speed and turn is impossible. The turn control here appear to be full left, center, or full right. Maybe I expected too much or maybe it's my big hands and small joysticks. As the case with inexpensive RC cars, there isn't much fine tuning for drift. That's when the car drifts to one side or another when it should be going straight. The stepped fine-tuning switch isn't fine enough to correct the drift on my copy. The adjustments work, just not fine enough to correct the drift. I am only allowed to choose which side I want the car to drift. There isn't much else to say about this remote control car toy. You push the joystick, it goes. You push the other joystick, it turns. Oh, and this toy eats batteries. Between the controller and the car, it requires an offering of six AAA batteries.

The first thing to note when shopping for something is if this is worth the cost. It is a remote control car, that uses the same type of basic, simple small remote control that comes with many other remote control cars. My kids enjoy it, 7, 4, and 2. It has some differences from others that are worth your consideration. First, this is excellent for a small age group, of course, for an older child it would be viewed as too slow and basic (other than the removable and included Batman, which does add to it being cool because the kids can actually roleplay with it like Batman driving in. I mean, I did that with my Aliens toys when I was 10, but that's how they showed them on the commercials!). But, don't expect it to Wow anyone with speed and tricks. The good thing about this is the plastic seems like it is better than the other cheaper-type RC cars. It's hard to describe, but while still thin, the plastic is more of a flexible-type plastic that seems like it can flex pretty good and go back in shape. This is important with the cockpit, because the lid is thin plastic, but you can flex it around pretty good and it still works. I would equate the difference to the hard stiff plastic most cheap cars are made out of, which would quickly break at the hinges if flexed. The controls are quick, responsive, and easy to control. Controlling it, although as another reviewer mentioned it doesn't make tight turns, is very easy to maneuver and guide in comparison to other cheap RC cars. While others may go faster and turn tighter, my experience with the kids playing with other ones is they either go too fast, or basically harder to control to the point where you basically just crash it everywhere. If someone actually took the time to build some type of city or mock roadway, this car would probably be easier control to navigate it. Last, and if it matters to you, based on the car and box, this looks like an authentic and real DC Comics approved toy (as the market is flooded with copies these days). Overall, when I see this, it costs a little more than cheaper RC cars, but it feels a little better made, and the addition of a Batman action figure that can go in and out does give it benefits over the standard RC car.
