perfect replacement for my shower

I went to the local hardware store when the stem on my old valve broke and they informed me that it would be 10 days before they could get it in. I asked for the part number then looked it up on amazon, and to my surprise this was half the cost and could be delivered next day. when it arrived to my house it was a perfect fit and works flawlessly.

Wrong turn direction for hot stem

Although labelled as a hot stem, turn direction for closing faucet is clockwise. This is the direction for a cold stem. While this would be okay for a shower installation, for a sink it is the wrong direction. Originally, the only difference between hot and cold stems was the turn direction for closing. Cold = clockwise, hot = counterclockwise. Maybe the seller could indicate closing turn direction in their description?

Quality product for Eljer faucet.

Bought both Hot and Cold stems. Work great for my Eljer faucet which is no longer manufactured. Contacted Danco to confirm correct stem and they got back to me within a day.

Excellent fit for my Eljer faucet, which is no longer manufactured and parts hard to come by until I spotted this. Would recommend. Quick fix for leaky faucet and easy install.

Perfect!

Used these Danco stems to replace two Eljers in a bathroom sink since 1970. The price practically dictated that I buy the entire stem, rather than fiddle with the individual washers or other fittings. So, I did.
