Great aviation snips!

Most of my life I aways had the regular snips till I had my friend who was a sheet metal worker all his life who came over and helped me do some work. He brought his off set snips after I tried them I his I had to have them they work so much better!????

Takes allot to get these to cut nicely. Midwest is far superior.

Became dull after cutting approx 13’ of metal roofing

Worked great for cutting 29 gauge metal roofing (straight and at an angle), but then became dull and unusable after cutting about 13-14 ft. Someone later told me to lubricate the blades with beeswax after every 3ft of cutting.

Why did I wait so long?

Cuts super easily and does really tight curves. Off set handles are great for keeping your hands away from the cut edge. Buy the yellow handle first, then get these and if you really need them the green handled shears.

Purchased to cut stainless steel banding 19mm x 0. ...

Purchased to cut stainless steel banding 19mm x 0.85mm. Cuts effortlessly and cleanly (although leads a serrated edge). The acid test will be how many cuts it will make before it needs replacement. Last snips I purchased were from Irwin and they only managed about 200 cuts before they were unusable but these snips were about half the price. The short cutting edge is optimised to cut stock up to 2cm wide so do check this short jaw is suitable for your application.

waste of money

After 8 months of light usage they now bend duct tin instead of cutting it. £26.99 paid for them should really buy a solid product? nah nah.

Very good seller & maintained communication during transaction.

I used these snips to cut ductwork to fit an access panel & they made very easy work cutting through the metal. Very comfortable to use.
