That the shade does not fit on the lamp properly

The lamp itself looks nice and I like the design, but the shade does not fit properly, for the price paid for it. It wobbles if you move the lamp,

Lovely lamp

I purchased the Gold birds with the black lampshade and there was no collar in the box (that had been opened). I did not love the black shade because it looked gray when the light was on. The gold bade looked nice. I had to return it so I tried the brown base with the cream shade and it was very nice and worked for the space I needed. Happy ending and a surprising easy return. My second choice light was nearly three hundred dollars which made this purchase all the sweeter.

Super cheap lampshade

The lampshade is too short to fit a standard bulb and is basically fabric glued on to paper with a seam on one side. It is the cheapest worst looking shade I’ve ever seen. Not happy for what i spent but too hard to return

NICE LAMP... but visually, kind of on the "short" side

Purchased this "on/off" in line cord lamp for placement on top of my washer/dryer in my laundry room. I installed it on a special plug designed to make it function as a 3 way touch light - perfect for my application as I only have to tap the metal on the lamp to change the light levels (the height of the washer/dryer makes it a bit difficult to reach a cord located switch or even a regular turn switch near bulb). I find this lamp makes a great decorative statement and functions well as sort of a "task light" to illuminate the general area when doing laundry. It also functions well as a low level light (nightlight) near our laundry room entrance door and powder room. Be advised, this lamp IS quite short, but I was aware of this prior to purchase and was prepared to "alter" it if need be. For my purpose, I thought it should be an inch or two taller. To accomplish this, I swapped lampshades and installed a harp (rather than using the existing UNO fitting on the lamp). The "switch" easily allowed me to make it taller. The TAUPE lampshade that came with the lamp made it much too dark (not enough light emitting through shade for my liking), so the new off-white lampshade I installed also help remedy that situation. I watched the price fluctuations on this lamp and was able to get it at what I felt was reasonable cost. I love the bird/natural motif on this lamp. It fits in well with my decor AND serves to brighten up a rather doldrum area of the house.

Think about the placement before you buy

I bought this lamp to use on a side table. I quickly realized that my eyeline is above the lip of the lampshade, which means that the bulb is directly in my eyes--very uncomfortable. If they'd only made the shade just a little taller, I think I'd have found a great piece. As it is, I'll have to think about whether I want to keep it. I'm not sure what surface I have that would be tall enough to keep the bulb out of my eyes since the lamp is so short. PIty--I really like the concept.

Looks Great, however....

Impressed with the look and love the black shade. However, the shade sits so low that the bulb is exposed at the top. Now due to the small size, this lamp was purchased for a sideboard. When illuminated you see the bulb plainly and this in my opinion is a design flaw. I placed a 40 watt bulb and that is too bright...when you walk by the bulb just beams at you like a lighthouse. The only option I fee is correct for this lamp would be on a high shelf, mantle or a chest of drawers.

Lovely bird lamp. Doesn't look cheap, nice item, but Doesn't put out much light.

I am pleased with the lamp. Pretty and looks good too. Soft light, low lamp, cord is a good length. Good value.

Very pretty accent lamp

It's a lovely accent lamp, the base is attractive and seems to be well made. My biggest issue is wth the lampshade - there is no way to tighten or immobilize it, so it does wiggle around. It doesn't work as a reading lamp, but I'm happy with it on a side table
