Quality in Question

The cards were too deep to fit in the envelope, I had to trim each one down. It looked like the score was made on the incorrect grain of the paper, thus each card was cracked on the fold. Not the level of quality I expect from Crane.

Your recipients will instantly know they're holding something important

As expected, these cards exceeded my high standards. I'm in the graphics/print/fine art field, and I make a lot of the high-end printed pieces I need by hand. Crane & Co is a reliable source for the times when I cannot produce my own pieces. I love the understated elegance of 1-color traditional engraving on high-quality stock. There is also a small Crane & Co blind emboss (I believe it's on the envelope flap, I can't recall), which adds a nice touch. The envelopes are foil-lined and use a heavier/nicer paper stock than most would expect. Overall, you can't really go wrong with Crane & Co., their quality and attention to detail is hard to come across these days. Sure, you may spend an extra couple bucks per box over cheap cards, but the premium is very small considering the high-end papers and printing process used.

This sympathy acknowledgement card is very high quality.

I liked the wording on the front of the card, and felt it addressed everyone who sent flowers, the clergyman, the pianist, the funeral director, and speakers at the celebration of life. It is blank inside, so I could write a few specific words for the person the card was addressed to.

Cards larger than envelope

The card stock is nice but they do not fit in the envelopes. Also, the envelopes are not lined per usual Crane standards.. I used a paper cutter to cut off the cards and “let it be” as my family is grieving and does not have the energy to return them and find others. This is, however, the first bad review I’ve ever posted as I’m feeling taken advantage of at a very emotional time.
