Wayfarer style frame and Costa quality...my new go to pair for kicking it

Same high quality sunglass I have come to expect from Costa, the same as my three other pairs of different styles. Important to note this is a wayfarer frame that is more straight up and down than a wrap frame that curves and hugs the high cheek bones...so not ideal for serious outdoor activities like fishing, hunting, snow etc. But perfect for driving and more casual activities. I was concerned about a review or two I read about them being flimsy, glad it didn’t stop my purchase...as I find the thinner wayfarer frame to be more flexible (not flimsy or cheap) versus my other rigid Costa wrap styles. While I love my wraps for better over all protection from glare, wind and other elements for more intense activities, these wayfarer shades are better suited, and by far more comfortable, for some of my more leisurely activities. I really like the coconut fade coloring....which has a section of the frame completely brown fading into a tortoise mix, very cool and not a common color scheme the other vendors offer. Lenses clarity is impeccable and so far are issue free from daily use. My other Costa styles that are geared towards fishing are problematic while driving my boat or car or while in other areas where I need to look at devices or in a slightly shaded area due to the extreme polarization....they are too good!! If the wayfarer style is your preference, then these are excellent shades that significantly reduce glare and direct sunlight and at the same time are stylish, lightweight and great for daily activities.

Not as rugged

This is the 3rd pair of these exact same glasses I've purchased over 7-8 years. I've always ordered directly from Costa. Since Costa was bought by Essilor in 2013 for approximately $270 million I immediately noticed a decline in quality of the brand. The frames aren't as strong, glass lenses no longer an option, you can just feel the difference in quality if you know what you are looking for if you are a long time Costa wearer. Essilor is the largest eyewear manufacturer in the world. One would think the quality would be unparalleled. Not the case, sadly. I will be moving on from Costa to a smaller manufacturer going forward.

Great product for under $100

Got these when they were on sale for $80. Great deal at that price point. The design and performance are great. However the plastic does feel a bit cheap. Don’t pay over $120 for them. If you want a better made/feel, go with Maui Jim.

Nice frames with a good fit. Ok lenses.

They are ok, 3.5/5. I have had these for about 3 months. I got these to replace a pair of Ray-Ban RB4151 that I had for about 8 years and lost, after wearing these I really wish I had those back. These lenses are plastic and have a little magnification that I got used to but it took a while. The fit is good but they are a little tall for my face so every once in awhile they get caught on my eyebrow and I have to adjust them. The lenses are polarized but I find myself having to shield my eyes on brighter days. I do a lot of fishing and I like being able to see into the water which I can with these just fine but I have been able to see more with other lenses. Again, plastic lenses, I take good care of my sunglasses but things happen, time will tell if the lenses incur any major scratches. Nice zipper case and cleaning cloth.

great sailing glasses

Very comfortable and very clear lens. The polarized lens w mirror finish makes sailing into the sun much more comfortable. These were replacements for a previous pair, lost to the unknown.

Get over the price, these are cool

When I first got these I wasn't sure. I have a big head but the sunglasses still looked large, and my son thought the color was a little feminine. I tried some other colors of the same style, and found myself liking these the best. Now I love the glasses. I think originally it was hard to get me head around the high cost of these, but once I got past that I judged the glasses on their own merit and I really like them.

Small and Narrow

My initial take on these was they looked small right out of the box. More like junior sunglasses. Small lenses and frame even for the average face. If you have a narrow profile they might be ok. Unfortunately I have to return them as they dont fit and look small.

Just Amazing!

These were incredibly hot on my husband, and so much better than expected. These beat other brands such as Oakley for fit, comfort and lense quality. You have to at least try on one pair to see how clearly you see everything through these glasses, especially in high light/sun settings. We're probably going to be buying another pair or two now.

Favorite fishing sun glasses

This is my go to polarize fishing glasses. I also have a pair of Maui Jim which cost twice as much, the Costa is brighter and has better visibility

My Eyes totally relaxed with this sunglass

Even in shades, my eyes are totally relaxed with sunglasses. However they are over priced in general. Smith is similar quality and much cheaper.
