love this pot

bought it to make big soup dishes like pho or Khao piak, absolutely amazing and the size is perfect for a family gathering. I have a glass stove top, so it does take a while for the water to start boiling, but the pot does pretty well to keep the dishes hot even when the stove has been off for hours.

Beautiful pot. Sturdy and not thin

It’s a beautiful looking glass-lidded pot. Thick enough bottom-good for making roux and gumbo. 5 qt is good for a smaller family. Big but not huge. Not non stick but will last better. Keep the heat lower if you are used to thin cheap pots. This distributes the heat and holds it.

Perfect stainless steel soup pot!

I am absolutely blown away by the quality of this soup pot! The packaging was top-notch and the pot arrived in perfect condition. The composite bottom is incredibly thick and provides excellent heat conductivity. The handle is not made of the typical hard plastic, but is surprisingly soft and comfortable to grip. I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase!

Why spend more?

I use the pot for pasta and it works as it should. It has heatproof handles and a glass lid. It's the perfect size for a single person. I.

Well made for price.

This Stock pot is very useful for my cooking needs, is well made and very easy to clean. Other reviews speak of the inside staining but that is the nature of the material depending on what you cook in it. Most stains are very easy to remove though. The handles are nicely enclosed in silicone and do not get very warm. However, for safety, I do use mitts when lifting. I would prefer the handles be a bit more substantial, as in possibly thicker, but they are riveted very well and do not move. This is a personal preference though for my hand size. I am overall very pleased with this purchase and can recommend it to anyone needing a well made SS study pot, at a very reasonable price.

Excellent Pot

I made cabbage soup and it filled the pot to about an inch from the top. This is a 18-10 steel pot with aluminum inside, so you cannot immediately put on high and wait for a boil (it would likely burn at the bottom and be cold at the top). I slowly increased the temperature over a few hours, not passing medium heat. It had a perfect rolling boil at medium temp - it just took me a few hours to have the pot achieve it. Very happy with it as this pot performs very well if you allow it time for the heat to reach the top. Thank you!

Simple, effective

I use the pot for water bath canning. It's deep enough to fit even quart jars. There's nothing weird or fancy going on. Solid construction, with a well-fitted lid. The pot is bit enough around to easily fit the StarFrit canning rack, and a somewhat tight fit on the Bernardin canning rack. No complaints.

Ce chaudron est excellent pour les personnes seules

Vraiment satisfait de ce chaudron. Cependant le secret.....ne pas laver à l'eau froide tout de suite après avoir cuit de quoi dedans. Si vous utiliser l'induction laver le chaudron à l'eau très chaude après. Bref à date, étant une personne seul je suis très satisfait de ce chaudron. Eau pour les pâtes, cuisson volaille, etc. À feu doux bien sûr genre 300-355. Max. a+
