Great for mechanics!

This is our families second purchase on this Carhartt belt. It's made strong and sensible. This belt is made where the prongs go inside so it's smooth outside. Perfect for mechanics who need to lean over cars and dont want to scratch them or anyone who likes a clean look. Carhartt makes great products and with Amazon's price on this, we had to get it

Buy smaller than your waist.

I ordered this belt over all the competitors because Carhartt has treated me well for years. It arrived today and I already put it on but found 1 very petty issue. I am a 38, I ordered a 38, and I got a 38. I just can't lose weight and become a 37 or smaller without ordering a new belt as the smallest hole is 38. I'll be ordering a 2nd belt around 34-36 before summer so that I'm prepared for my seasonal weight change. Otherwise the belt is comfortable and it's a nice change to be without a belt buckle to cause skin irritation. Sitting without the bulge feels different in a very good way. I hope this helps somebody.

Good Belt

This was bought as a gift for an aircraft mechanic who usually purchases the more expensive 'Snap-On' brand; which I would have gotten but the sales rep was out of them at the time. BUT that's ok, because I've been told that the belt is holding up just as well as the other brand. I originally bought the size 36" because that's what size the recipient normally takes, however it was a bit too snug and I had to size up to the 38." So that may be something to think about when ordering.

It runs a little small and, while it may technically be leather, it isn’t the highest quality. Less than I expect from Carhartt.

No more buckle pain

Ma belly be big. Me FAT. Belly be hangin over buckles and me belly kinda hurt. This belt good to ma belly. Recommended.

Scratch Proof Belt

I definitely like these Carhartt belts, except this particular one disappointed me. The brand "Carhartt" is embossed on the buckle for RIGHT HANDED belt wearers. I wear my belt LEFT handed, so the word "Carhartt" is upside down. I would have much preferred that they didn't add their name, or make a left handed model available. Either way and I'd be a Five-Star purchaser.

Nice scratch free belt, but needs ratchet

This is a very nice and attractive belt I will be able to use in the plant to prevent accidentally scratching new vehicles. However, I recently purchased a ratchet belt. I love that belt because it ratchets in 1/4 inch increments. I hope Carhartt makes a scratch free ratchet belt in the near future.
