Went together easy and look great.

Easy assembly instructions, although if you have a long 4mm hex wrench with a T handle, you're gonna have a good time. The screws for the spreader bars up top are a bit finicky if you have a fat screw driver or hex key set, or if you use the included cheapo one. They went together just fine, and though the instructions say to "drop the stool from a 6 inch height" to level it, I found that if you have someone push down on the seat while you're tightening it all together in the final step, you'll end up with a reasonably level stool that doesn't wobble. They're strong enough for me (260 pounds) but be warned, these are NOT counter height. I found these when I was searching counter height stools. They are way less yellow than in the picture, so if you're trying to come close to your old oak dining table with that yellow finish and the carved chair backs (you know the one) you'll be off by four shades. Overall, they're very nice stools, sturdy, comfortable enough, and looks great against our granite countertop.

Definitely won't make it a full year.

I've had these since beginning of June. The stools look nice, but that's about it. The seat covers pill horribly, they're creaky and feel don't feel sturdy at all. I'm going to invest in a better quality bar stool set. If you're moving into a place and need bar stools and they won't be used often or you're moving in a year, these will be great. If you're trying to furnish an apartment and want longevity after heavy use, look elsewhere.

You Get What You Pay For

I guess I really should have known better. At a glance, the stools are good looking. However, they were an absolute nightmare to put together! I don't know if mine were defective, but almost none of the holes were pre-drilled. I had to break out my drill to get the screws into place, and even then, it was incredibly difficult. There are other bolts in awkward places that must be tightened with the included hex key - it takes A LOT of patience. Once I finally got them assembled, there were visible gaps in some areas where things just don't line up. They don't look great once you start looking closer. I wish I could get my money back.
