Sturdy and very bright lamp

We purchased this lamp for our new home during the Xmas holidays. It is inexpensive but does the job. It is bright and sturdy. I wished it came in a black color but that’s a minor thing!

Pretty, and a good deal.

This is a nice lamp with clean lines, not too modern but not really old fashioned either. Its matte black finish fits in with a variety of decors. The shade is a milky white and it takes three way bulbs. We had a bright one in there but this thing lit the room up like a spotlight. We've taken it back to a 30-60-100 and tend to use the first setting for a nice warm glow. The lamp itself is fairly sturdy, very easy to put together, no tools required. I'm thinking of buying a second to set in opposition to the other because I think two would look even better than one.

Avoid at all costs

I purchased a higher priced unit hoping for better quality. It is no better than the very cheapest. The sections had to be bend to get a semi-straight stem-4 sections. The electircs are very cheap and light-weight. Delivery took over a month. But the worst is that the packaging placed the glass shade on the OUTSIDE of the foam packing. As I pulled the foam packing out of the box the shade fell on the floor. Not so bad if you are on carpet. Not good at all if you are on concrete.
