this box is great for the price

this box is great for the price. It is a little bit light duty, but it's been out in the rain for weeks now, and not a drop inside. It's big enough to hold an inverter and solar charger with a little planning. It has no knockouts, but is easy to drill with a wood bit. The latches work well. You need to provide your own backplate inside. Plywood works.

Excellent box for the cost

Not "Industrial" grade, so you can't install it where there is risk of damage (not thick enough), but for at home or in the shop it is an incredible deal for the price. I have used Hoffman enclosures near exclusively for 30 years, and while they are a good product, they are also very expensive, as in not less then $400 for a similar size. One other advantage to the thin walls is that NM connectors can be used on it without a shouldered hole.
