Perfect for non-motion sensing lights

We had just installed new outdoor lights and realized we wanted motion sensing lights. These were recommended and they work great. We keep our back porch light switch on all the time as as something approaches it, it turns on. The only draw back is because of the type of light we have, you have to get within 5 feet of the light for it to be activated. Another light style might work better. It stays on for 5-10 minutes. It’s even activated for the deer who visit us at night. There is no way to change the timing on it like a motion sensor light but we are good with it. We love it so much, we added another one of these bulbs to another light. Cost effective if you don’t want to have to replace your light to have motion sensitive light.

Works perfect for my application!

Years ago I installed a ring floodlight which was on the same switch as my porch light. I had to go without my porch light since my floodlights were on the same switch and required the switch to be on all the time. This light works as advertised and in my situation has solved my problem without having to rewire the porch light which in my case because of accessibility would have been difficult. I installed this in a recessed light fixture and just removed the frosted glass. It works perfectly!

These are so great!!!

These are the BEST! I bought these lights for my garage. It seemed like the light on the garage opener would always go out when I was still loading things into my arms from the back of my car so now I’m struggling to get my phone to turn on the flashlight to figure out how I was going to hold the phone and carry the stuff I had to carry in. I was complaining about this to a friend and they said why don’t you get the motion detection lightbulbs?? I had never heard of them. So of course I went to Amazon. And I found them I put two of them into my garage one is almost directly over my car, and the other one is down the hallway which leads to the door into my condo , which gets very dark because there is no light that gets to it they work so perfectly I pulled in the garage the other night and boom on comes the first light and I just had a grin on my face from ear to ear. Go to the back of my car get my stuff out of the trunk got it all in my hands close the trunk. Of course the garage light from the garage door opener goes off not a problem . I now start towards the hallway and as I enter the hallway, the other light goes on Wala. I can see all the way to my door. It was absolutely phenomenal. Now to top it all off I also put one in my laundry room, which is the room I enter from the garage , and it is so nice when you open the door a light turns on so that I have a table I can unload my arms to, and I can hang up my coat takeoff my boots pick up my bags again and carry them into the kitchen all with being able to see because I have these motion sensor lights they’ve made my life so much easier thank you G E

Lights work well on front porch

Lights work well on front porch but attracts moths so the only problem is the light flicks on/off a lot

Works great

It doesn't detect movement as far off as I'd like it too, but when close enough it has never failed. Although, I'm not able to use my porch light cover because it doesn't work through the thick glass. The best part about it is the auto on at night works very well. It is extremely precise and always turns on when it starts to get dark outside.

Very Satisfied - "automatic" motion sensor without replacing fixture!

I was initially skeptical of how well motion sensor would perform but was very pleased with them. Prevented having to replace light fixture with a fixture with motion sensor.

Very bright but motion detection could be better

Not much to be said. These are great bulbs for the money and very bright which might be a concern for some. These were for our garage so bright is good. My only complaint is I wish the motion detection was just a bit more sensitive. I have a LIFX bulb inside the garage that will go on as soon as I open our garage side door. These bulbs are installed inside the house at the top and bottom of our stairs leading to the garage. When I open our hallway door the light doesn't turn on until I move through the door. I would expect it should turn on as soon as it detects the door swing open like our LIFX bulb. BTW, I've that bulb for at least 5 years now and I can't find it anymore. To finish, I'm still very satisfied with these bulbs but they would not work very well if installed in a light fixture.

Everything is great except that one lamp doesn't not turn off

Very easy for installation and the movement detection working fine. But one of the lamp can't turn off. It just on all the time. Is it normal ? I have tried everything but still on all the time. A little disappointed about that

One of them were defective.

I bought a set of two, one of them didnt work so I had to return this unfortunately. The one that did work was bright enough and worked well, however the motion detection wasnt as sensitive as I thought it would be.

Works well unless blocked by fixture

These lights are bright and have manual on off override that works fine. I purchased for an outside light but the fixture reduces the motion sensor range a lot. Not really a fault of the bulb. I am now using the lights inside the garage in the ceiling without a fixture. Works fine. Turns on and off. Stays on for about 5 min. The range seems to be about 6 feet from the bulb it will turn on (inside my garage). A bit pricey but good colour, and a good brand name (I hope long life). Some of the other 'no name' lights only stay on for 30 seconds.

Terrible product

Not sure it came defective or the sensor isn’t working as expected. Couldn’t return because lost the package

Better than Expected

The bulb worked like a charm. Placed two of them overhead in my garage. Very bright and motion detection works every time. They are expensive but if they last they will be well worth the money.
