LED bulbs are worth the cost.

Having worked in the energy industry for over 50 years, believe me when I say LED bulbs are worth the cost. They will last a lot longer than conventional bulbs. They are as bright as others. Most of all, you will save a lot of money, especially if you switch all the bulbs in your home. One more thing, they are safer because they are not hot to the touch and a lot less of a fire hazard.

Warm Glow with Minimal Heat

These light bulbs create a nice warm glow. Even though they provide light equivalent to a 40-watt bulb, these only emit 5.5-watts of heat. Therefore, the actual temperature of the bulbs is less of an issue...which is a big plus! I highly recommend these.

Only half ordered & received worked

Just 5 months after ordering/receiving, light bulb needed to be replaced, only to find the remaining two in the box did not work! Recommend you test them all upon receipt. Not worth the money spent, in my view.

These work as expected

I purchased these GE LEDs because 3 other [cheap] brands just didn't work in my situation. I have a motion sensor switch setup for stairwell lights and 3 other LED lights prior to this genuine GE bulb would have some issue with the motion sensor. One didn't even light, period (in sensor mode). But, these GE LEDs are working perfectly. The same if not better then the [old] incandescent light they are replacing.

Nice warmer light

I use daylight bulbs in kitchen and hallways, but these are nice for table lamps. Not to bright. Rated 10 year life. That's a good value for the price.
