Lectric Red is Hot

I bought this lure in Lectric Red after hearing that red is a good color for bass. This past weekend 6/25/11 the fishing was super slow. The water was 10'+ visibility and about 80 degrees. I pulled every lure from my box, most natural colors, before reaching for the mini-trap in Lectric Red. The lure weighs 1/4 oz. but casts surprisingly far which helps in clear water. It runs about 3' to 4' below the surface depending on your retrieve. My first cast was across the mouth of a medium sized cove, about halfway back to the boat a monster 4.60 lb smallmouth crushed it. The hooks are sharp and held strong during the struggle and both treble hooks were snugly set. The only thing I would change is the clasp, it's shaped like a tight oval instead of round which may dull the action in the water. I caught one more smallmouth and three largemouth in the following two hours. I haven't tried the other colors yet...but I will.
