Get what you want

The only monofilament I use. I've tried a few other brands but they all seem to have ten times the memory as trilene. If possible get a big spool or get it spooled at a tackle shop cause the big spools will make the line easier to handle when spooling and fishing

I use fro backing before adding the braid works great !

Line was coming apart

The line came apart on first fishing trip. I believe this line may have been old and subject to high heat. I had never seen this before.

Changed my mind. Love this fishing line.

Originally I gave the trilene xl a 3 star rating because I felt it was not worth 3 times the cost of Big Game mono. But after using it for a whole season I love how limp and soft it feels compare to Big Game. After catching a 16 lb king salmon on this line.. I'm convinced of its quality. So I decided to change my rating to 5 stars. But I still think it shouldn't be 3 times the price of Big Game. Even though I love, I wouldn't buy again unless it's on sale.

Worth the money

Not best pleased with this product as the line has a constant wave & after numerous loading & unloading of the line onto a reel unable to stop the looping
