Great Bow Eye

Love the Atwood 3396-3 SS Bow Eye. Easy to install, threads are a little long you will have to cut them down for the length that works for you. Make sure you put a nut up the threads before you cut and cut with a slight angle, when done with cut, steel brush cut end and file burrs off and work a plain nut up and down little by little until you can take it off and can put it back on with no problems. And use nylock nuts for the finishing nut also. And use Marine goop to waterproof it at the holes.

Good bolt, sit, stay

I bought a lightly used aluminum boat. Some genius had probably tried to drag the boat out of the water while it was filled with water. Water is heavy. The factory widget on the pointy part of the boat was torn off. I searched for the factory widget but, no joy. So, I figured this thing looked to have a high degree of sturd and bought same. One new hole later and some silicon caulk and my craft is ready for the ocean blue. I am now in the market for a 'star to steer her by', whatever that might be.
