Warm coat, runs big
Got the 14/16 size for my daughter. It seems to run a little big. The sleeves were especially long. The light-weight yet warm design are nice and there is room for a thick shirt or snow pants under it. The design is pretty as well. She loves the half glove built in to the sleeves.

Warm but lightweight coat
This coat has been perfect as a winter coat for my daughter the last few months! It fits her very nicely but seems to run a little on the large size. The coat is well insulated but thin so it’s warm but it isn’t bulky. The colors are so bright and vibrant, and I love the tie dye pattern, it is always very easy to spot her on the playground. There are a good number of pockets and the hood is a good size and stays on her head well. Overall, it’s a comfortable jacket that has been keeping my daughter warm and dry.

It’s an ok jacket
The jacket is warm according to my kid. However some of the stitching is sloppy. It’s an ok jacket. That’s truly about all I can say about it.

Nice jacket
This is a very nice and durable jacket. The material seems nice, the only downside is that it is a little stiff, but all in all, it will be a nice jacket for colder weather.

runs large, warm coat
Got this coat for my 12 year old daughter - she's 4'11" and 76 lbs, so on the smaller side, and the XL is a bit to big, the large would have fit her better, but the XL means she'll get longer use. This coat is stiffer and stronger against the elements than a puffer coat (which she reserves for warmer, drier winter days), so staying warm and dry is easy in this coat. She really like the thumb holes on the inner sleeves, helps keep the coat in place when playing. The purple is really pretty and the flower accents are feminine, perfect for her style. One problem: no where to attach her ski lift ID... We will have to figure that issue out asap. Review for Arctix Girls Back Country Jacket - XL

Durable fabric, warm, thoughtful details
The Arctix Girls Back Country Jacket is a great value. It has a lot of thoughtful details- the arms have inner sleeves with the thumb hole and adjustable velcro to keep snow out, there is a hidden pocket on the front inside, the pockets on either side are big enough for cold hands and zip as well as have a snap button flap to keep snow out of the zipper. The materials look to be very high quality and durable. The contrasting print on the inside and pocket flaps is a lot of fun. There is reflective piping detail on both the front and the back of the jacket. The coat fit exactly how we expected from the information on size chart. The only thing I'm a little disappointed in is the stitching quality around the zippers- one of the pockets I will have to stitch down the fabric on because the zipper gets caught on the lining and I'm afraid it will get torn, and the front zipper stitching is quite wobbly. No major defects otherwise. We are pretty content with this purchase, and would consider a jacket from Arctix in the future.

Seems like it’ll be warm, couple of issues
Just got this coat today, here are my thoughts… Pros: Got the XL for my daughter, she’s eleven, around 5’4”, 100lbs, and it fits her perfectly; love the cuffs with the thumb holes; love the reflective strip across the back & across the chest; outer shell feels very waterproof; decent amount of insulation - certainly more than my $250 ski jacket, so I think it’ll keep her warm; machine washable; $70 price tag is on point for quality. Cons: VERY sloppy stitching in many places, mostly on the interior of the coat; don’t go through the trouble of using black thread on the Velcro if your line is going to extend into the pink material; wish the hood was detachable; not one single ring or zipper pull upon which to hang a lift ticket ????, the zipper pulls are closed, rather than having an open circle at the top. Conclusion: decent coat, wish it was constructed with more care, but these things aren’t a dealbreaker at $70.

Nice warm, waterproof jacket
This is a nice warm jacket. It fit true to size. Some of the interior stitching could be better. It does have reflective trim on it. It is a pretty heavy coat that would be great for those cold and sleet rainy days.
