This pot does it all! Cooks well, cleans well, strains well. Highly recommend!

Well made, very vesatile, a lifetime keeper pot

When I received this pot the handle was all scratched and the pot had numerous greasy fingerprints on the outside and on the inside. The plastic bag inside the carton it was packed in had permanent marker writing that somehow was transferred to the copper bottom ring. I used copper polish to try to get it off but could not erase it. The copper ring was cleaned with some kind of cleaner that left dried liquid streaks that took some time to clean off. For a $100 pot this is not acceptable. Why was it taken out of the carton that it was factory packed in in the 1st place? Good question. The pot itself has no defects. It is well made and beautifully designed in its tulip shape. I like the size and bought it for that with the pouring lid. However, it is quite heavy and a helper handle is needed especially with the extra weight of food. I also think that a locking lid is needed as it will be hot and hard to hold on when pouring. I have not decided yet if I will keep it or return it because of the above mentioned problem. I gave it 5 stars because the pot itself is of excellent construction and will meet my needs.

Stylish and works well

We bought this as we are getting an induction stove top. It has not arrived yet but we are already using it on our regular electric stove top and it works very well. We like the feature in the lid that allows you to strain the liquid with the lid on.

Wish it had better heat distribution for boiling water

We mostly use this pot for boiling water for noodles. It takes longer to boil than our old stainless steel pot of the same volume. I think the problem is that it's more tall than wide and the walls are thin, so there isn't good heat distribution in the water column, only heat applied at the bottom. Overall its been a good pan for us.

The handle shape is completely wrong for a large "strainer" sauce pan.

I specifically bought this 3 1/2 quart strainer saucepan, since I cook a lot and need a pan in which I could make large amounts of sauces. The pour spouts on both sides of the pot really appealed to me. Unfortunately, the handle is round and very smooth. This makes it impossible to get a good grip on it. If you attempt to pour a sauce with any thickness to it, the pan will fight you the entire time, making it necessary to set it down, mid pour to try to get a better grip. Just for reference, I'm a man who is 6', 195 lbs with a pretty good grip. But even my jock son (6'2" 225) says that he hates trying to pour from this pan.

One of our favorite pots

We have an induction cooktop and we love this pot to make breakfast cereal on a daily basis. Easy pour, and the lid makes draining vegetables so easy. We would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Really good one. Neat appearance and good quality. It's deep, great for Indian tea as well as stuff like pasta.
