Heavy fragrance

To start off, I'm 34 years old and have sensitive oily prone skin. I didn't start a consistent face beauty routine until about 4 years ago and have always struggled finding something suitable for my skin type. Unfortunately, with this line of care products the fragrance is quite heavy and the complexity of skin-care formulations is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to why my skin might be reacting negatively to a product. Not even after the first use I broke out with tiny little pimples but decided to push through a few weeks but those pimples only kept multiplying and it wasn't worth going on week three. I know alot of people like their products to smell nice but fragrance is not skin care. Fragrance ingredients (both natural and synthetic) have the potential to cause sensitization, irritation, and even skin damage and that's what is was doing for me. The face wash was the only one I was able to keep using after a month and I'm actually quite fond of that one! It leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed without the residue feeling.

To heavy for daytime but great for night cream

I am sort of a skin care junkie. I have a rather large collection of skin care and I love trying new ones. Amore Pacific makes some really great products and even has a few that are staples in my collection and I will never go without. So I was excited to give this Amore Pacific time response skin reserve intensive creamFacial moisturizer ago. The packaging is gold and the same shape as all of the Amore Pacific things with the mirror on the top and a screw off cap. It also comes with a little spoon/spatula thing too which is nice. Packaging gets 5 stars from me as usual for the brand! As for the moisturizer itself it is a bit heavy for day time wear. I have combination skin with dry patches and it’s even a bit to heavy for my dry patches during the day. I have tried it a few times during the day with makeup over it and you do need to let it soak in a while before applying makeup, at least in my experience. But this makes an excellent night cream! It makes my skin baby soft and plump looking without breaking me out. As for the scent it has the same signature scent as all the Amore Pacific items and smells amazing. But I will say that it is very heavily fragranced, so if that’s something you personally have to avoid then this brand definitely is not for you! I’m so glad I’ve never had an issue with fragrance in my skincare! Overall I do like this moisturizer as a night cream. I personally like a different moisturizer from the brand for daytime though. But skincare is so subjective that while I might love it for night time you might love it for day time, or completely hate it. But for me this is a solid 4 star product.

Heavily Fragranced; Luxury Price Point; Gorgeous Packing And Texture

For a ~$450 (at the time of purchase) jar of luxury end facial cream from AmorePacific, I was not surprised at the lush presentation this Time Response Cream came in. AmorePacific is a luxury-end beauty line, priced out as such, as well as a Korean beauty conglomerate operating 30 or more other companies under their corporate umbrella (Etude House, Mamonde, etc.) Per the included images, AP Time Response Cream comes nestled inside a beautiful dark green box with product information subtly tucked inside the envelope on top. The sealed golden jar is hefty and solid. They include a funny, misshapen plastic spoon to dispense the cream with. Now, I'm going to say something we all need to remind ourselves of from time to time before I get too deep into my review. Just because something is ridiculously expensive does not mean it is the best. Yes, expensive is subjective. For me, $450 for 1.7oz of facial cream is high. I've used $15 creams (getting several ounces more than 1.7oz) with a similar consistency without fragrance, loaded with ceramides that worked just as well. Here, you are paying (mostly) for the luxury level branding. This cream is beautifully packaged. It has a wonderful creamy texture and soaks and hydrates the skin. Leaves behind just a hint of a finish (not shiny or oily looking). Formulated with green tea extracts, dimethicone, niacinamide, soybean, Panax ginseng root, and cocoa extracts. But once again, AP has tarnished an otherwise exquisite product by adding fragrance to it (not listed at the end, but right in the middle of the list). Please please stop AP, I am begging you. People with mature skin, like myself, likely have sensitive skin and some people (in general) are scent sensitive. I get a headache in a short elevator ride with people who commit the faux pas of wearing too much perfume, so I'm sure you can imagine how disappointing it is for me to find this facial cream heavily fragranced with a lingering floral scent. It smells like something I would find on my grandmother's vanity. If they omitted the fragrance from most of their AP-specific skincare line, I would rave about it more. As is, I can't fully endorse a facial cream with unnecessary fragrance.
