Does the trick

Bought these to replace ones I had in my cabinet that where antique. They did the trick but I think the antiques version of these work out much better and are stronger than these new ones.

Cabinet hole line up when replacing old Amerock non-self closing hinges.

While refurbishing my daughter cabinets, I purchased these to replace the old ones ( Amerock ) that were the same brand that were not self closing. I measured the dimensions carefully to make sure the hinges fit the existing holes on the doors. As it turned out the holes on cabinet do not line up exactly with the ones that do not self close. It appears that there is a slight offset of about 1/16 inch that is due to the way the springs work. I had to re-drill the mounting holes on the cabinet. It worked OK, but very close to the existing holes. The appearace, look and function, were fine. She was very happy with the outcome as was I. If your buying these to replace existing hinges that are not self closing with the same door dimension be aware that the existing cabinet holes will need to be re-drilled.

Good Hinges

The very old-- more paint than metal-- hinges on the kitchen sink cupboard gave up the ghost after a few too many four year olds used it as a climbing aid. I replaced the top hinges on both sides of the cupboard, and it took longer to get the paint around the screws dug out than it did to finish the rest of the job, CORRECTLY; the doors close nicely and now they stay shut. Standard configuration for the holes, the screws that came are a good, standard quality, and over-all a very good value for the money.

Pretty Poorly Built

Appears made of “pot metal” With a coating, which looks nice but weight-wise it’s barely heavier than plastic and thin. I would use for a kids project but not much more, there aren’t heavy duty by any stretch. They do look ok.

Hinges are a brighter brass than I was hoping for. They also come in packages of 2, instead of 1 which was what was listed in the description.

Hard to find and quality/price cant go wrong

Broke one while renovating kitchen ... think these are from 1950's era Could not find in hardware store or specialised cabinet store ither . Next step was to get new door panels or moding the ones installed so saved me quite alot of time & effort since materials back in the day were quite durable and sanding/repaint looks like new . So i am very satisfied
