Perfect light shade after machining bottom from cup to fit light socket

Length and diameter were perfect for 10 watt Sansi grow lights. Stainless cups were closest to size I could find, required a fixture to hold cups while cutting vent holes and 1-5/8” socket hole. The lights get a lot of complements on my Hoya display and these stainless cup shades look nice.

I had to remove chemicals stuck on the inside wall (??)

Product arrived promptly and once inspected, it looks sturdy and durable. The workmanship is a strong B, no sharp edges. The problem is post-manufacture related, to a stubborn chemical that seems like an adhesive for a eating (for fries) utensil. I had it washed in fairly hot water and soap but the chemicals won't budge. Finally I wiped the inside thoroughly with acetone and it did it. The tissue became fairly dark, whatever that chemical is. Just a word of caution to the other customers. The product is fine, I took down one star due to quality control. Hope this helps.

I saw this used in a very nice bar where they poured your excess martini (any up drink) in a small 6 ounce wine beaker and then set the beaker in this cup with a little crushed ice and small amount of water in the cup to keep the excess drink cold and not watered down. Very cool. Also, great for setting out condiments, snacks, lemons, limes etc.

I got two of these since we eat a lot of fries. They seem to taste better in the metal container.

They don't break and stand nicely up to my dishwasher. Edges are a bit sharper than I imagined. But certainly no big deal.
