The best hearing protection I have found.

I have been wearing these for years and have purchased many for wood shop and landscape work. They fit well and are comfortable.

Hearing Protection

This is my second pair of the hearing protection from 3M. The first pair are over 5 years old and I was advised that by my hearing specialist that it was time for replacing them. They work and they are very comfortable - there are times when I wear them for long periods and almost forget that I have them on. Best of all, they do a great job and lowering the sound levels while I am working with power tools. Recommended.

Easy to use, comfortable, big noise reduction.

Inexpensive, well-designed, comfortable, this set is a breeze to use. The cups surround the ears, resting on your head and the contact surface is so large that you can wear them for hours with no fatigue. When you want them off temporarily, just lift the cups off and wear the set around your neck. I truly forget I have them on within secondsbof putting them on, and the noise reduction is substantial. I have used earplugs for many many years, but they are awkward to get in and out. For work, where these won't be "in the way" these are MUCH preferable to earplugs.

Block Barking Dogs, Trains, Construction Truck Noise

These are worth their weight in gold. These block out noises that my $300 noise-cancelling headphones that I use for air travel don't. I live in a noisy area, with barking dogs, trains, and construction truck noise that used to frequently wake me up in the middle of the night or early in the morning. These headphone block out barking dogs, trains (engine noise and train whistles), and the "beep....beep....beep" that construction trucks (and trash trucks) make when they are backing up. These headphones reduce these noises to almost unintelligible. (At lease in my opinion.). Note, though, I do get occasional air traffic (planes and helicopters), and they don't do as well at blocking out aircraft noise. Also, I also have light car traffic, and that noise gets blocked. But can't say if they will block out heavy street traffic or freeway traffic. I found out by chance how well these work when my 15 year-old noise-cancelling headphones started falling apart. I remembered I had purchased these 3M headphones as ear protection while using yard equipment. So I dug them up and found that they worked better. After I experienced how well these 3M headphones work, I bought a couple more pairs, should 3M discontinue making them. I either go to sleep with them on or have them on my nightstand to put on if I need them. If you're a side sleeper or a stomach sleeper, it might take some getting used to sleeping with these. But it beats getting your sleep disturbed by barking dogs, trains, trucks, etc.

decent and comfortable

I had been using ClearArmor 141001 ear muff for a while now and always felt like "I would use a bit more isolation foam". I noticed the foam is denser and the ear pad is softer on the 3M 105. In actual use, 3M 105 did block out a bit more mid/low frequency sound like I wanted and felt more comfortable. However, 3M 105 can't be "folded up" for storage and you can't flip the muffs 180 degrees around to air them out... you have to put something between the 2 muffs so they will stop touching each other. (why do I want air them out you ask? the plastic bag package was contaminated with some kind of coconut/vanilla flavored soap/candle wax... so the whole unit smells like coconut/vanilla. I wiped the entire thing down a few times already, but I can't "wipe" the foam inside the earmuffs.)

Not For Large Heads - Good Sound Reduction

I could just barely, barely get these pulled down enough so that they worked (not functional for range use). When I did that, sound reduction was great. However I cannot recommend this for those who wear a Large hat size. For those saying they have a large head and had no issue, not sure what to say. I'm 5'11" and 225, by no means a giant, and my head doesn't look like a pumpkin. If you wear medium or small hat size I think you will really enjoy the comfort and sound reduction, wish they would have fit.

Its working. Not as good

Shipping was fast and boxed properly. The item protect my ears from generator test that has very loud sound. But I could still hear about 30 percentage while using it, talking to my friend. It's better than no protection at all. It works for me.

Excelente producto

Excelente producto. En mi caso lo emplee fuera del ámbito industrial. Y bajo mi experiencia, reduce demasiado el ruido para alquien que viaja en carretera o desea dormir en tranquilidad (boca arriba). Aunque para mejores resultados pueden emplearse junto con tapones internos. Los materiales de muy buena calidad, el tamaño justo a mi medida.
