Works as expected

Started using about six years ago. I started using because of the mineral buildup in my water system. I have not had that problem since I installed the filter.

Can't go wrong with 3M

I've used these filters for years. They make a big difference in taste and smell of my chlorinated city water.

I have used them for years, tried others, these are best.

The specs on filters don’t tell the whole story. The opening size in microns, the carbon core, I have tried filters with equivalent specs at home and in the medical facility where I work. Lower priced filters soon reduce water flow and must be replaced. I looked for alternatives as these went up in price over the years. They cost more, but, are still the best value.

More expensive, much higher quality (and it's worth it)

I use these to cleanse well water, primarily of iron. I've tried several other no-name, much less expensive filters, but the 3M filters are the only ones that seem to work for several months on end. Not only do they last longer, they filter better leaving zero noticeable taste - that's not the case with the less expensive filters. These are definitely worth the extra money you might pay

Best under sink filters I have found.

I run two in series under my sink for drinking water. I keep 10 gallons of drinking water on hand at all times. You can only live for 3 days without fresh drinking water. Always keep a fresh supply of drinking water on hand for normal use and emergencies. I also use one of these filters for my refrigerator too as a safety precaution. I change them out once a year. I have never had one plug up, and the water taste great too. Why waste so much money on bottled water, when you can make the very same quality water for pennies on the dollar ? Clean drinking water is also a healthy decision too. These filters catch all the stuff that you really don't need to be drinking. Great product. Hope they make these forever.

These filters do not have the rated flow rate to be used as "Whole House" filters. Have been using this cartridge for years in a SS housing under the sink and are providing filtered water to to a dedicated cold drinking water faucet on the counter top next to the sink. This filter also supplies the ice maker in the freezer. This Carbon filter will remove about 95% of the taste of "Treated Water". I use this water for making coffee & tea, as well as for cooking. I replace the cartridge about every 6 mos. to one year to maintain the quality of taste.

It works just fine I did a bunch of research and this was the best one with the best reviews. But I really don’t see much difference my wife’s hair turn from blonde to rusty the water is still smelly. I have a filter on the cricket head of the shower and I use rust salt

Filters out objectionable tastes namely chlorine, etc.

We have "city" water (vice from a well). We don't think we need a filter for particulate matter like sand etc. you may get from a well. But with a "city" type water systems, they sometimes treat the water with things like chlorine. With the Aqua Pure water filter I can always drink the water from the tap without having to resort to bottled water.
